Kyung attended California College of the Arts in San Francisco for BFA and currently attends School of Visual Arts for MFA in Illustration. Kyung was born and raised in Seoul until she immigrated to the states at the age of twelve; and illustration is her American dream as much as that sounds corny. Honors include 2015 Society of Illustrators scholarship and the 2016 Annual Student Show. Clients include UC Berkeley, Guestbook Envy, and Layers Studios.
Colin Verdi
Colin Verdi is an illustrator based in New York City. His work is inspired by vintage fashion, fetish and pinups, and the macabre beauty of nature. He has worked with a range of clients, creating work for publication and packaging production in fashion and beauty, as well as for independent video games. He is currently attending SVA for MFA Illustration as Visual Essay.
Mago Huang
Mago Huang is an illustrator currently studying in SVA, she graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art. Her design focuses are spots, narrative, editorial illustrations and children's book illustrations. The sweetest childhood memories she kept with her was that she grew up on a farm surrounded by plants and animals; these elements later appeared to be the motifs in her whimsical illustrations.
David Leutert
David is an illustrator and graphic designer from Nuremberg, Germany. He has been working with clients in advertising, music, fashion and editorial for the past ten years before moving to New York to pursue a graduate degree in Illustration. When he’s not busy pushing pixels or drawing letters, he promotes punk shows, plays drums in bands, reads too many comics, marinates tofu and wonders why he can’t feel pain on the skin of his elbows.
Yiqing Zhang
Hi, I am Yiqing Zhang. I love drawing, cooking and story telling. Most of my time, I am thinking about how to use images to communicate. I am always attracted by the beauty of human body movement. I draw a lot of those, and try to use different skills to catch the beauty of human nature.
Eugenia Mello
Eugenia Mello was born in 1988 and the first 18 years of her life involves moving around a lot through different countries in South America which resulted in a heavy dosage of colorful exuberance and tropical spirit. After finishing high school she moved to Buenos Aires Argentina where she studied graphic design and developed her loved for shapes and colors and bringing ideas to life. She also studied creative advertising and did a lot of craft driven workshops such as silkscreening, and bookbinding. She’s participated in a handful of collective shows in her loved Buenos Aires. She Also taught in her university in two courses (Graphic Design & Typography) for 5 years. This experience gave her the opportunity to learn from her peers and her students and further encouraged her to continue her own studies. She is currently a candidate for the MFA Illustration as Visual Essay program, class of 2017.
Helen Li
Helen Li is an illustrator originating from Sydney, Australia and is currently based in Brooklyn, NYC. She is completing her MFA in Illustration as Visual Essay at the School of Visual Arts.
Stephen Procopio
Stephen Procopio has been working as a illustration since he graduated from Messiah College with a BA in drawing and painting in 2006. He has spent the last 9 years working in Northern Virginia working full time as an illustrator
for a church and teaching drawing and sketchbook classes at The Art League School in Old Town Alexandria. He moved to New York in the summer of 2016 to further his education through the SVA Illustration program. He lives in Queens with his Wife, their two children and small dog, Frank.
Brian Britigan
Brian Britigan was born and raised in Iowa City, Iowa, but lived in Seattle and New Zealand before moving to New York City to pursue his MFA in illustration at the School of Visual Arts. He previously studied art and animation at the University of Washington and has worked as an illustrator, animator, and ice cream truck driver.
Anagh Banerjee
I am Anagh Banerjee from India. I have done my Under Graduation in Graphic Design from MIT's Institute Of Design, Pune, India. However, I have always had the inclination to draw out my stories/musings and make art which is expressive. I am currently pursuing my MFA in Illustration at the School Of Visual Arts, NewYork.
Amber Ma
Amber Ma is a New York-based artist and illustrator. She attended the School of Visual Arts and graduated with a B.F.A in illustration in 2015. Currently she is pursuing a master's degree in the Illustration as Visual Essay program at School of Visual Arts. Amber is deeply interested in creating monsters and fantasy creatures, who she believes share the world with us while hiding in secret places.
Ignacio Serrano
I studied Fine Arts in Madrid and in Kassel, Germany, where I later worked as intern for advertising. I have worked for several years as graphic designer for companies such as IBM, editorial designer for publishing groups and illustrator and comic artist. I am currently on my second year as grad student at the School of Visual Arts, MFA Illustration as Visual Essay, in New York, thanks to a Fulbright grant.
